Saturday, January 18...

Here we are again.  These were taken a few Saturday's ago.  It was a gorgeous, warm day! On this particular day, I sort of walked around not sure where I should start.  There was guys working in every corner doing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, hanging windows, sign work, siding.  You name it, it was being worked on.   It was so exciting to see a huge crew there!

Freshly hung door.

The front of the church.  Notice the entryway, it was mostly done.  All that needed finished was the shingles on the roof. I also think they might be wrapping the post with something.

The rear of the church.  The pile of brush, lumber, trees sure is shrinking. Thanks to these bonfires the guys light at the start of their shifts on Saturday.

The underside of the front entry.  Looks so beautiful!  Love the timbers and boards in there.

Another angle of the church.

These guys were working on setting some windows.

Our designer for the church sign that will be going out by the road.  Starting work on that. It is going to be so pretty!

HVAC stuff.  I know so exciting! ;-)

Gotta have the visiting along with work.  This is what makes the work fun!

Working on HVAC stuff.

Cutting out wall for some outlets.

Some plumbing.

Cutting and hanging soffit.

Drip, drip, drip...

Getting his helper clued in to what is going down with the electrical part of things.

Putting in the boxes for future lighting.

Temporary cross.

It seems like the work that is getting done now, is all the "slow" stuff.  So as far as seeing new progress, that's a little difficult. There is a lot of new progress going on, with the new pipes, wires, HVAC stuff in the walls.  Which is quite difficult to show, or should I say boring to show.  It all has to get done before insulation and sheet rock can take place.  So...until then, it probably won't look like there is much change in the building itself.  These pictures will look the same here, and 2 or 3 weeks from now.  But know, that there is still so so much getting done!!

Saturday, January 4...

It's so nice to see work starting up again at the church!  Some guys were working on the front entry. Others were starting to lay out stuff for duct work, and some were plumbing.

Bear getting help from a wise old man.  Trying to figure out what needs to be ordered next to keep this project running smoothly.

A chilly day at the church.

So happy I'm clueless about this kind of work, when the weather is like this! Doesn't it look miserable?!

The entry is starting to come together.

Fun for the kids.

Coffee is a must.
Plumbing going on in the basement mechanical room.

Another manifold in the front part of the church.  Not sure what this will be heating?

The finished wall on the north side.

Putting those huge duct work tubes in.  Looks like the guys planned just enough room for those.  They just barely fit in there.

A couple of those tubes waiting to be placed up high.

Not sure what's going on here?  Someone is just having a good time playing!
And work continues on...

Saturday, December 28...

The week of Christmas and week of New Years, were both very slow weeks at the church.  These pictures were from the Saturday after Christmas.  Not much had been done since my last post.  These 2 were the only ones at the church this day.  They were hanging the last of the shakes on the North side of the church.

With little  action going on,  I resort to photographing footprints in the snow. :-)

This entry way is something new.  They started putting up the timber trusses.

Putting up the last of the shakes.

Might as well mix some visiting in.  Not much for this crew of 2 to do.  They did finish that wall, and it looks good!  I will post a photo of that next time.
