Two weeks of work… May 6 - May 17...

  Tuesday, May 6th…
This was a couple weeks ago already, oops.  Means I'm slacking! :-)

Bam is checking glycol levels.  They were filling wirsbo, making sure all the bubbles were out, and  filled.  The heat is now working!   Just in time for summer. :-)

Terry is sanding hardwood for the stage in the pulpit area.  He donated some beautiful walnut hardwood for this!  This is the only picture I got of the process.  ( I decided to help primer the walls instead of snap photos).

  Thursday, May 8…

The finished stage.  Henry was here working, and helped finish it!  It took the guys only a couple days to do this project.

A close up of the wood.  So pretty!

The painters were going to town!  Their operation is quite sketchy.  Here they are finishing up the ceiling.

Putting primer on the walls in the entryway.

Painting the mothers room.

They started grouting tile.

Cabinets are being set in the kitchenette.  These were off of someone's job, and will need the painters help after they are installed.

View towards the front of the church, with that freshly finished flooring, walls and ceiling.

Brent was working on masking windows and or caulking.  Not sure what he was doing in here?

 Wednesday, May 14…
Once again there was singing at the church.  Also a crew of guys working.

Mitt found the broom to lean on this time. ;-))

The design committee met this evening also.  These three are part of that committee.

Painting the entry way.

Poor Alex!  Ceilings are the worst!!

Cleaning, grouting?  Not sure what these guys were up to?!

Once again, Naomi had stories to share! :)

Trevor was putting tile in.

Not sure what the little blue things are?  Something to help keep the tile from moving?

Working on the pulpit.

Helping sand.

 Mom's big helper.

Now time for staining.

The expert hard at work.

A few folks who came to sing.

Moon rise.

More painting.  As you can see, this was very much the focus for a week or two.

A platform for the organ.  This was made with the same hardwood floor as the stage in front.

The kids were a blur of energy.

One coat of stain on the pulpit.  Not completely sure if there was anymore added.  The singing sounded so beautiful!  I took a small video clip of it, but have now clue how to add it on here.

Saturday, May 17th…
Saturdays are a great day for getting stuff done.  On this day, they had a decent sized crew show up.

Not sure if I have taken a picture of the entryway overhang with stain?  Here it is.:)

A few of the guys dug these holes for conduit.  This will be for the lights in the parking lot.

The front of the church is done!   :)  Looks awesome doesn't it?!

The excavators have been busy.  This will be a paved walkway for handicap access from the parking lot.

The inside of the church was a bustling!  Trimmers were going to town with getting trim put in.

Notice the base.  That's almost all the way finished.  The busy bees, are just a blur in most of these photos!

Cutting trim.

Putting in the window box things.  Making sure that they are nice and level.

Cabinets are all in, in the kitchenette.  Now waiting on the painters to do their magic on them.  Once that's finished then appliances can get put in.

Ladies bathroom.  Notice the door…that's pretty fresh!

Looks like all that needs finished, is grout on that top layer of tile.

The entry way.

A few different pictures of the same thing.  :)

The pulpit is finished!  Looks so pretty!!

Love this!  Glad they can have fun moments in their conversations!

Cleaning up… View from entrance to the front.

Mens bathroom.  Not sure I have taken any pictures of it?!  It's a fairly small space.

The other part of the mens bathroom.

The janitor room.

Helping clean up.

Notice the left side of the picture.  That is the covered stairway.  It now matches the rest of the building.

Clean up.  The painters are finished!  Drop cloths are leaving the church.

Another one.  Sorry. :)  It looks so nice, now that it's all finished!

Putting some warning tape in above the conduit.  After doing this, they filled the trenches back in with dirt.

Inspecting.

Sorry folks!  Picture overload!  I had to take a few more of the building after everything was cleaned up.

Isn't it gorgeous?!

I love the dark stain with the cream walls!

Another picture of the doors that are on.

That's all she wrote!  A million picture later…
As far as work… I think the painters and all who want to help, are heading over to Bud and Joan's to work on finishing up the benches.  I guess there is still tons of work left on those!
3 weeks from today, is the deadline.  :))
It seems like there is still plenty to do?!  But with huge crews, I bet we can get pretty close to that deadline!  We will have to see how these next few weeks go!
