Monday, November 18...

Happenings at the church this week...
Part of the crew is framing the entry way, bathrooms, mothers room and kitchenette.  The other part of the crew started in on roofing.  Unfortunately with these short days, the work needs to get done under lights.  And with freezing temps!  Not sure how these guys do it?!  I was there for an hour or so and my hands nearly froze off!  Also..  In case you think our new church building has ghosts, be reassured it doesn't. :-)  The ghostly figures are the guys hustling around. I had to use a slow shutter speed and tripod to get clear pictures of the structure.
Figuring out this next weeks work.

Checking how straight the studs are.

We need ladder holders too. :-)

Just kidding.  He was actually in mid stride, preparing to climb up and do some nailing.
Looking  south through the mothers room window.  That's the women's bathroom back there.
Different angle of the SW corner.   That will be a closet and women's bathroom. Also, mothers room to the right.

View of the SE corner.  The guys are framing up the men's bathroom and kitchenette.
Little different angle of the SE corner.

View from the entry way.

The sanctuary.

This will be the kitchenette.

Looking South from the north.  All the action is happening over there in the South.

The entrance up close.

West side of the church.
Outside view.

Guys are working on the roof.  If you look closely, you can see the light trail from a headlamp. :-)
Beautiful clear night, with the moon out.  It's quite chilly for those on the roof!

Adding some height to this window.
Some of the guys started putting shingles on the roof.  Not sure how they could see good enough to get the shingles straight?!  ;-) They were using head lamps and 2 other lights.

Frosty night...cold enough to see your breath!

Oops, busted!  Slacking on the job.

Framing inside, roofing outside.  Guys working hard at getting the job done.  Till next week...
