Almost done...

Saturday, June 7...
Last Saturday was a bit of a dud as far as workers go.  An email was sent out late morning looking for some more help at the church.  A few of us ladies decided to go and put in a few hours.  We took apart the cement forms, scrubbed in various parts of the church and did some landscaping.  My son Parker took these few pictures of us landscaping. :)

We had tons of help from these boys!

Parker took from all angles. :)

An artsy shot.

One more of the chaos.

Sanding down the floor.

Monday, June 9...
An evening at the church.
Pulling wires from the parking lot into the main building.

Watching the action.

Putting in venting outside.

Hanging those pretty vents.

Oopsies, a marmot got stuck in this hole!

Running to check out the action.

Notice the sidewalk.  That was pored last Friday.

Pete helping the poor animal.

Whew, it got out!

View of the sidewalk from other direction.

Pulling wires for the light poles.

It's quite interesting to watch!

The main entry closet now has shelves.

A pretty BIG glitch in our process of finishing up!  The original sealant on the floor starting bubbling.  Now, we are scraping, sanding, doing whatever it takes to get it off!  It is so discouraging and not fun!  This was the start of trying to get it off.  I can't count on two hands how many different chemicals they have dumped on that floor!  Besides being hard labor, it smells awful!!

Experimenting.  Trying to figure out a solution to our problem.

Meanwhile...these two are putting in a railing.

Grrr...

This is in the sacristy.  Plumbers have been busy putting in sinks.

Tuesday, June 10...
These are a few pictures from Todd.  He took these on his phone while high in the sky.  They were using one of his work rigs to put up the light poles in the parking lot.

Everyone looks quite miniature from this view point!

Birds eye view.  Love this!

Wednesday, June 11...
Instead of Wednesday night bible class, we had another work night at the church.

Plenty of cleaning going on.

More scraping and sanding.

This is such a huge job!  Good thing there is many different people willing to help scrape.

Putting in the rail.

The organ speakers are in and so is the organ!

These folks were putting in the AC units.

A few pictures from Jason of these guys putting in the sign out front.

Those are some huge beams holding the sign up!

The front entry lights.

Dave had quite the audience while hanging numbers. :)

Back to the sign.  I finally got over there after it was almost all the way up.

 Cute baby alert!

Boys always like watching the action!

Pete thinks he's heavy enough to drop the sign into place.  :)  (he wasn't)

A few of us were watching this beautiful sunset take place.  See those sun rays?  That happened at the same time as the first sounds came out of the church organ.  We all got the chills!

Blurry picture, sorry.  It shows the organ in place and organist waiting to have a turn at playing.

This was so beautiful.  Many of us stood around just listening.  I know for myself, it was hard to keep the tears from flowing.

These feet were a blur of action.

The last looks of the beautiful evening!

Sweeping a clean floor. :)

Newly installed lights.  They look so pretty twinkling in the evening light.

A few different views of the parking lot with the new lights.

For some reason I even think the parking lot is pretty?!  I know, I'm quite nerdy.

We are almost done and ready to move in.

A few pictures of the back.  The trim is all done around those windows and doors.  Now Dan the man, is next on site with the windows.

There was plenty of action, hence the ghosts again.

Our original plan was to have our first church service here this coming Sunday.  Unfortunately, with the floor drama, that date was postponed.  Our next thought is the following Sunday.
Crew this week has been big.  Everyone wants to help out during this last week of work!

We'll keep you posted on updates...
