Saturday, June 14 and the following week...

Once again, I'm a bit behind on this blog.  I was at the church cleaning and helping out these last couple weeks, and didn't have a whole lot of time for blogging!
During this week, our focus was on finishing the floor and putting the church pews together.  Our goal was to hold services in our new building Sunday the 22.  That meant a lot of work had to get done in that last week!

A finished pew.

Many little parts needed to be put together.

Doug and Timo had a system down.  I love watching the flow of work between the guys!

A few of us ladies and guys, spent all day Saturday on our hands and knees cleaning this floor!  Whew, a few of us felt quite crickety after the day!!

The floor finally cleaned and drying!

A few pictures of the cleaned sanctuary.

The organ rail is finished and waiting for stain and lacquer.

The women's bathroom almost finished.

AC units are in and sitting pretty on the new cement pad.

Action in the front.

I apologize for the lack of pictures between these two Saturdays!  I focused on helping rather than taking pictures.
The next photos are from the night of cleaning right before our first church service on Sunday.

Saturday, June 21...
Ladies swarmed in Saturday evening, and deep cleaned the church!  I arrived a bit late, and found they had almost finished the cleaning.

With the cleaning came singing!

Songbooks are in the pews.

Seems like these benches have been dusted a million times already!

Shelving in the front mechanical room.

Love this lady!  Her laugh is contagious!!

This is all I got as far as cleaning pictures.  Day late and a dollar short. :)

After most everyone left, I snapped a few photos.  The sanctuary is beautiful!

Now we wait.  One whole day.  The day many of us have longed for and eagerly waited for!   When the building will be filled, singing will begin and God's word will be heard.
We have so much to be thankful for, and God has truly blessed our congregation here in Colorado!
