One week of work...

The church is bustling with activity!
Plumbers, Painters, Electricians and Carpenters are all working on trimming out.

Saturday, May 24...
Staining the church benches.

I liked the creative drying rack!
Bricks and wood chunks that were laying around were put to good use.

All these pew parts are finished.

These guys had a great system going!
It was so great, I nearly was run over a few times. :)

The sanctuary door that was promptly returned.
One slam of the door and they figured it would crumble.

Track lighting is in.

Broken elbow and all couldn't keep Tom away!
He's putting on door hardware.

Helping put a sink together.

Trimming out the handicap restroom.

These guys are master trimmers.Their cuts have got to be right on!

Putting in the urinals.

Door hardware that's on.

One part glued and nailed.

The excavators have been busy!  These two pictures are from the SE corner.

All the outlet/light switch covers are being put on.

Tuesday, May 27...

A few days later...
Running water!!

So exciting!  First time the water has been on.

The handicap bathroom has all it's parts.  Looks like some sort of something still has to happen around the top of the tile. :)

Drinking fountains are in and working!

Women's bathroom.

Putting up braces for the counter tops.

Hand dryer is new.

Sanctuary.  The steel beams are all wrapped, now just need stain.

View from SW corner.

Figuring out a slab size for the AC units.

View out the front doors.

Urinals in the men's bathroom.

Not sure why, but the guys bathroom only has one toilet?!  Poor guys!

Art figuring out a custom rail to go around the organ.

Terry working on perfecting the covered beams.

Looks good! Now the painters need to come work their magic.

Figuring out concrete.

Having fun on the equipment!

Saturday, May 31...

Last Saturday at the church.   Still plenty of work being done!   Plenty more to do!!
This chandelier was put in for a few days.  Its being shipped back now, for something different.

The painters finished staining the wrapped beams.  They look so awesome!

Partitions being installed into the women's bathroom.

The little sawdust piles around the church, make great entertainment for the children.

More excavating is done.  Forms are ready for concrete.

The sidewalk and front entry are formed and ready for concrete.

I get the butterflies going to the church.  We are so close to being done!

A picture of the ceiling that has all the trim in. Speakers, vents and lights.

This side still needs trim parts.

The kitchenette.  Counters are just resting, not quite installed.

Women's bathroom. Sam is just a blur.  He was much to busy to hold his pose for 4 or 5 seconds.

Bam putting in toilets with the help of Garrett. :)

Men's bathroom.

Waiting for the partition to get put in.

The pulpit is up where it needs to be. (Butterflies again :))

Piecing together the ceiling fans.

Programming the lights.

More figuring!  I'm pretty sure that does not end!!

View from the mothers room.

Todd has been Ian's helper.  Putting in the number thing.

Piecing together another ceiling fan.

Wowza!
A lot has gone on in just one week.  It is so, so exciting to be only a few weeks out! I'm thinking, I am not the only one who gets the butterflies.  Probably most of us do. :)
This week brings plenty of busy!  More trim and more trim and did I say trim yet? jk:)
On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, we (as in ladies) get to go scrub at the church.  Yay!
After a good scrubbing, they will start putting in the pews.  (here come the butterflies again)
Concrete is scheduled to be poured on Friday.  That's about it for now.
Toodles... till the next time...
